A new two-year partnership with UNICEF will strengthen RORU's child protection and education programs in Northern Uganda.
RORU has signed a landmark partnership agreement with UNICEF Uganda to strengthen child protection and education services in Northern Uganda. The two-year agreement will provide technical and financial support for RORU's work with vulnerable children and their families.
Partnership Scope
Under the agreement, RORU will implement the following activities with UNICEF support:
- Establishment of child-friendly spaces in five refugee-hosting districts
- Training of community child protection committees
- Back-to-school campaigns targeting out-of-school children
- Psychosocial support services for children affected by conflict and displacement
"This partnership with UNICEF validates our approach and expands our capacity to reach the most vulnerable children in Uganda," said RORU's Executive Director. "Together, we can create a protective environment where every child can learn, grow, and thrive."
The partnership activities are expected to benefit approximately 5,000 children and their families over the two-year period.
