Program Overview
The Youth Skills & Literacy Program targets young people aged 15-24 who have dropped out of formal education. Through a combination of functional literacy classes, vocational skills training, and mentorship, we equip them with the tools to build sustainable livelihoods.
Key Activities
- Functional adult literacy classes held three times per week
- Vocational training in tailoring, carpentry, and hairdressing
- Life skills workshops covering financial literacy, communication, and leadership
- Mentorship pairing with local business leaders
Expected Outcomes
By the end of the program cycle, 80% of participants are expected to achieve basic literacy and numeracy, and at least 60% will have started income-generating activities using their newly acquired vocational skills.
