Supporting women entrepreneurs through business training, microfinance access, and mentorship to build financially independent households.

Program Description

The Women in Enterprise Program empowers women in rural communities by providing them with the knowledge, skills, and financial resources needed to start and grow small businesses. The program addresses barriers women face in accessing economic opportunities.

Components

  • Business skills training covering record-keeping, marketing, and financial management
  • Village savings and loan associations (VSLAs) formation and support
  • Seed capital grants for viable business plans
  • Ongoing mentorship from successful women entrepreneurs
  • Market linkage and cooperative formation support

Impact So Far

Over 200 women have completed the training program, with 85% reporting increased household income within six months of starting their businesses. The program has also contributed to improved school enrollment rates for children in participating families.
