About the Role
RORU is recruiting a Finance & Administration Assistant to support the Finance Officer in managing the organization's financial operations and administrative functions. This is a one-year contract position with the possibility of renewal based on performance and funding availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping and financial record-keeping
- Process payments, receipts, and petty cash transactions
- Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and bank reconciliations
- Maintain organized filing systems for financial and administrative documents
- Assist with procurement processes including obtaining quotations and preparing purchase orders
- Provide general administrative support including scheduling, correspondence, and office management
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Support audit preparation and compliance processes
- Manage office supplies inventory and procurement
- Coordinate logistics for meetings, workshops, and travel
- Assist with human resource administration including leave tracking and timesheet management
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- At least 1 year of experience in a finance or administrative role
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks preferred) and MS Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Good communication skills in English
