About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Field Coordinator to oversee the implementation of RORU's programs in Northern Uganda, with a focus on Gulu, Kitgum, and Pader Districts. The Field Coordinator will be based in Gulu and will be responsible for day-to-day program coordination, community engagement, and field team management.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise all field activities in the assigned districts
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local government officials, community leaders, and beneficiaries
- Ensure program activities are implemented according to work plans and quality standards
- Collect and compile field data for monitoring and reporting purposes
- Identify and escalate challenges or risks to program management
- Support community mobilization and stakeholder engagement activities
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of community facilitators and volunteers
- Organize and facilitate community meetings, trainings, and events
- Prepare weekly and monthly field reports
- Manage field office logistics including supplies and equipment
- Ensure accountability and transparency at the field level
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Community Development, or a related field
- At least 2 years of field experience in community development programs
- Fluency in Acholi and/or Lango languages is strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and community engagement skills
- Valid motorcycle riding permit and willingness to travel to remote areas
- Basic computer skills (email, Word, Excel)
- Familiarity with the Northern Uganda context and local cultural practices
